Real Art Network is an art marketplace built into World App — where proof of authorship, not just ownership, is written into the file itself.
Real Art Network is a marketplace for human-made artwork, built as a mini app inside World App (the Worldcoin / Tools for Humanity mobile application). Artists register their work to receive a permanent timestamped proof of creation and an adversarial AI-protection layer (Ring Guard), packaged into a proprietary .rng Ring file format that travels with the artwork. Accounts use tiered World ID credentials to help limit automated abuse without sharing biometrics with the platform. Selfie Check is a medium-assurance liveness and anti-abuse check; Orb verification is World’s higher-assurance proof-of-human credential.
Current state: live in beta, available in 12 languages, with artists actively creating Ring files. Anyone already using World App can join immediately with their existing World ID.
A Ring is the registered record of an artwork on Real Art Network. When a artist uploads their work, the platform creates a Ring containing:
A Ring proves that a specific image was registered by a specific account at a specific time. It does not independently prove original authorship — that claim depends on the artist's own honesty and any external evidence they can provide.
Technical category: adversarial image perturbation. Ring Guard applies subtle pixel-level modifications to images that are invisible (or nearly invisible) to the human eye but designed to interfere with how AI vision models process and learn from the image.
This is the same technical category as peer-reviewed research tools: Glaze (University of Chicago), Nightshade (University of Chicago), PhotoGuard (MIT), and ArtShield. Ring Guard is our own implementation built on the same principles.
What Ring Guard targets: AI training pipelines that ingest images at scale, style-extraction models, automated scraping for model training.
What Ring Guard does not stop: device screenshots, manual copying, or scrapers that do not use AI processing.
As a World Mini App, Real Art Network cannot enforce OS-level screenshot blocking on a user's device. The app uses content deterrence, temporarily blurs protected artwork when the app loses focus, and may report suspected capture activity; it does not provide a zero-screenshot guarantee.
Honest limit: adversarial protection is an active arms race. Effectiveness can diminish as AI training methods evolve. No tool in this category offers permanent unconditional guarantees.
World ID is part of the platform's anti-fraud approach. Its credential tiers help limit automated abuse alongside AI detection and community moderation. Selfie Check helps assess liveness and resist automated misuse, while Orb is the platform's higher-assurance proof-of-human option.
World ID does not share your name, government ID, or biometrics with Real Art Network — only a privacy-preserving result for the credential used. Orb-verified users receive reduced marketplace fees.
Anyone who already has a World ID can join immediately using their existing identity — no separate signup or new wallet required.
Adversarial perturbation is a real technique with peer-reviewed research behind it. Under controlled conditions these approaches meaningfully disrupt AI style extraction. What cannot be promised is permanence — AI training methods evolve. Think of it like a lock: it stops opportunistic access, not a determined adversary with unlimited resources.

Creating an account and registering artwork is free. The platform charges a marketplace fee on sales: 10% for device-level World ID holders, 7% for Orb-verified World ID holders. The same rates apply to resale royalties. Transactions use WLD or other supported tokens via the World App wallet. No prior crypto experience is required to join.
Not primarily. Rings are registration records, not speculative tokens. WorldChain (an EVM-compatible blockchain) is used for payments and optional on-chain proof anchoring — that's infrastructure, not the product. No blockchain knowledge is required to participate.
Every upload goes through AI-generation detection as part of Ring creation. Tiered World ID verification helps limit automated abuse, while Orb provides the platform's higher-assurance proof-of-human signal. Artists caught submitting AI-generated work risk permanent loss of their verified account.
A Ring proves that you registered this image at this date and time. That's a meaningful provenance record — but not the same as proving original authorship. The platform has a dispute and takedown process for cases of theft.
